[Plugin: Excerpt Editor] Auto-Generate not affecting RSS

  • The Auto-Generate feature doesn’t seem to be working on my site. I’m using 1.4 on WP 2.9. I have “Auto-Generate… in the RSS feeds” checked as well as “Lenght [sic]: Use the <!–More–> tag” but I doesn’t seem to affect any of my posts. I even tried creating a new post to see if it only works when a new post is created, but that doesn’t seem to make a difference.

    Under WP Settings > Reading, I’ve tried both “Full text” and “Summary” in the feed options, but again, Exerpt Editor doesn’t seem to have any effect. This exerpt-in-rss feature is actually the only one I care to use in the plugin, so I’m considering simplifying the process and trying the possibly-outdated More-Feed-Excerpt plugin https://www.g-loaded.eu/2008/05/08/more-feed-excerpt-wordpress-plugin/

    Is anyone else having similar problems with the plugin not affecting the excerpts at all?
