Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress

Is there a way to turn off wordpress comments only on new posts. I have thousands of comments using wordpress’ native comments on previous blogs that will be invisible if I turn off wordpress comments while using Facebook Comments for WordPress. I use V2 only. I searched to see if there was an answer already, thanks
