[Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Anonymous comments don't work

facebook comments seem to work with facebook user logged in.
when the facebook account is logged out i see the anonymous boxes, but when i try to post anonymously with a proper email account I get “The message could not be posted to this Wall.” in a blue facebookish dialog box.Any idea what’s going on here?
I’m using wordpress 2.9.2.
