i followed all instructions in this link
    https://grahamswan.com/facebook-comments/

Hi, I have installed the 1.5.2 and tried several hours to have FB logged out user to comment with just Name and Email. All i get is Message cannot be posted. Not sure if this is a FB error and plugin error. Also made sure i checked the “Allow Anonymous Comments”.
However, I can post successfully when logged into FB.

Anonymous commenting is currently busted on Facebook’s end. I’m waiting on them for a fix. My apologies.

    Hi,
I just installed the 1.5.2 and inserted the unique ID, made all settings I wanted. And nothing happend. It doesnt work at all. I tried to reinstall, remake the settings but no change. Does somebody know why is that ?

If you want to see what i meen by “nothing happened” see the bottom of the pages :S:S:(

    Thanks in advance ??

Kando, the plugin attaches itself to the WordPress comments, so you need to enable them first.

You can later hide them from the plugin’s settings page.

Unfortunately my Facebook Comments is not displaying and I am getting an annoying getLoginStatus() called before calling FB.init(). in Chrome (OSX 10.6.6). I believe it also is not loading in Safari. Is there some way I can get it to load in these browsers? Supporting them is really important.

    Thank you!

    Thank you so much, thinkswan!
    Great pulgin!

Hello I installed Facebook comments plugin (last version) and I have 2 questions.
First, you say just above “the plugin attaches itself to the WordPress comments”. Does it mean that I can actually replace the regular comments with the Facebook comments and still be informed in my email that I received comments? and on the Dashboard?
Secondly, is there anyway I can decrease the margin/padding above and below. Where can I change that? I tried to look at the CSS for the plugin and I cannot seem to find anything… Thanks in advance.

Post-scriptum: would like to also decrease the height of the blue box.

    Christine,

    1) You can replace the WP comments, but you won’t be notified just yet. That’s coming.

    2) To mess with margins/padding, modify the Container Styles in the settings.

    3) You cannot change the height of the blue box. That comes straight from Facebook.

Thanks! That was a quick reply. So can I see anywhere that someone has put a new comment?

Only manually right now. I’m working on notifications right now.

I had 1.52 and everything was working fine except for anonymous posts not working (but I believe you said it was broken on facebooks end).

Then I saw the update to 1.6 so I thought it might have been fixed.

I did an automatic install, and the plugin doesn’t work at all now.

On the posts, the “loading” splash is displayed indefinitely.

    I’m on WP 3.04

And I should note that I have the default facebook like button code from FB on the page, as well as the Addthis widget

Can you please paste the Facebook like code you are using? I can probably give you a version of it that will work with this plugin.

    <script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like href=<?php echo urlencode(get_permalink($post->ID)); ?> layout="button_count" show_faces="false" width="30" font="arial"></fb:like>

this is the one Im using on the site, in the singe.php
