[Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Get a count of comments?

  • Hi, perhaps a dumb question, but is there any way I can get the count of how many facebook comments there are on one of my posts? My theme shows the # of wordpress comments per post by default, i want to replace that with the facebook ones.

    Alternatively (and perhaps a separate question) – it does not seem that comments posted thru the facebook comments box gets stored in my local wordpress db… is there a way to wire the two together? thanks

  • Actually, I’m not having this problem…exactly. The comment number is displaying as ‘View all 6 Comments’ with the Facebook chat icon to the left of it.

    Previously my theme had a nice black circle with a big bold white ‘6’ indicating 6 comments. Is there any way to maintain that either be editing code or CSS? It looked a lot nicer. I’m using v2 comments.

    the Comments Count on the top left of the Facebook Comments box in my site disappeared, and the “Sort by” drop-down disappeared as well

    I must put it back, is it because of new improvement from Facebook that it disappeared?

    Anyone know if this plugin can actually consistently registers a “count” in the “comments_info” column of the FQL database?

    Also, is there any solution to recieve count of facebook comments? Facebook comments counter doesn? work.
