  • Hi, I have an existing blog that I’ve moved to a new host and am using this plugin instead of the old one I was using. How to I keep the number of “likes” to show correctly? Everything shows up as 0 likes right now since I just installed it. Is there a way to do this?

@touchstoneweimaraners: I’m not sure how to maintain the Like count at the moment, but I’m looking into it.

Even though the number may be lower, the links back to your page still remain, so the actual connections still exist. But I understand the number is still important. ??

    Hello!

I’m having the same issue. The plugin is working fine, but I don’t get any notifications when someone comments.

In the settings there’s an option that says that I will be sent an email notification when someone comments on my blog (FB comments) but I haven’t received any.

I have just found comments that are weeks old but I haven’t been able to reply because I didn’t know someone had commented.

Hope someone can help me resolve this.

    Thanks! ??

    Maria

same problem as the poster above… and facebook comments control is not working for me… so how can I keep track of the comments???

This plug-in just put out version 3.1.3 today, and it still says that email and Facebook notifications will be sent out if someone comments on your blog. WHY DOES THIS FEATURE STILL NOT WORK??

@graham Swan, please get back to us about the status of this flaw in your plug-in.

    Thanks.

    Hello all of the above…
I think I’m right in saying that graham swan is no longer developing this plugin, but the person who runs the website at we8u.com. In any case, the author is aware of this problem in the plugin and is working on the fixes. In the meanwhile I urge you to show a little gratitude for plugin authors. They have put hours of work into these plugins as you can see on the dev time that is posted on the changelog page.
So if you want to see the plugin go forward:
1/ show some thankfulness, rather than always asking more of people that are using of their spare time to bless the community
2/ consider a donation to the plugin author

@revolutionfrance: You are absolutely right, and I for one did not mean to come off like I demanded anything – I only asked for assistance. I always appreciate the free plugins and I can only imagine the amount of work that is behind them all. A big Thank You to the developer/author of this one! ??

Hello Maria, yes, your tone was much more friendly in your comment and it’s no prob to ask for assistance, that’s what the forums are for after all ?? I was actually just reacting to wharriman ?? It seems like the widget is not working either for now, or at least only with v1 comments. So if you are using v2, then these will not appear. We8u is aware of this, because it is mentioned in the settings page of the plugin…

    Have a great day!

I’m sure it will all resolve soon:-) Have a wonderful day you too!

@revolutionfrance: Sorry if I sounded upset, but I’ve posted multiple times about this issue and have not gotten any response from the developer, so I was unaware that he knows about it and is working on it. Usually I get at least a “Yes, we know it’s broken and we’re fixing it” reply, but this time nothing. I get that the plug-in is free, I get that a lot of time goes into development, and I appreciate the work he’s done. It would just be nice to know the guy is listening and can address his customers’ concerns. At least in my comment I said please and thank you, that’s more than some people do .

My apologies if I offended anybody, and my compliments to the developer. Have a good one!
