[Plugin: FaceBook Like Button Plugin for WordPress] Error

Ive installed per instructions and see the button. I am however running a local server so I have put https://localhost/lvm in the URL box. When testing the button all seems fine except the text “Error” comes behind the “Be the first of your friends to like this.” and when I click this it says “The page at https://localhost/lvm/?p=1 could not be reached.”

Am I to assume this plugin wont work on a local server?
