[Plugin: Facebook Page Promoter Lightbox] Don't work

I get the following error

There was an error fetching the like box for the specified page.

This is a facebook error, you probably didn’t input a numeric ID. If not, try to clear your server side cache and evaluate you fanpage visibility /privacy settings.

furthermore, this error is know to occur if you use the likebox for GROUPS. It is not intended for groups, but for pages only.

Everything seems normal. so what should I do

Arevico, When I first DLed the plugin it work immediately. I have since then changed my theme and although the plugin is active, it does not pop up at all, and there is no error code to say anything is wrong. I am using the Broadcast theme by Skyali, is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Like everyone else, I’m having no luck using this Likebox. I’ve copied my Facebook Fanpage # correctly using your guide “Retrieving the Facebook Fanpage ID” and I even logged completely out of Facebook and cleared all the cache… still not working. Please advise as what to do.

I see that some people seem to have been waiting quite some time for an answer that works, which makes me nervous because I just spent $20 thinking this was going to work like a charm. Great concept, it’s just not working as advertised.

– people ask why it doesnt work but their website load the facebook api three time
– outdated jquery,this causes a magnitutude of issues like close button button showing
– loading the facebook api without api key. If plugins use th xfbml version, always specify the api key or make it use the iframe version

Most people can get it to work, but in orderfor me to help I need to atleast know your site. Furthermore, there a lot of users who only post “it doesnt work”, leave a comment a d never visit back to try and solve.

@readytorage, check your theme and update jquery isnthat doesn’t work maik me your website and setup to [email protected] (or post here) so i can debug it
