A temporary solution would be to set the default publishing policy to “nothing” while doing these updates.

Would it help to apply the default publishing policy only to those posts that have not yet been published?

The temporary solution I used was simply to turn the plugin off, but since the managament took almost a week, this was not a good solution.

It would be great if I could set different policies for all published posts (don’t publish) and for new/scheduled posts (publish). I did not figure out how to do that.

With the next update, “don’t publish to Facebook” will become the default publishing policy for already published posts. There is no way to change that, but I doubt that anyone wants to.

So is there something i can do besides waiting for the next update?

You can go out and enjoy life.

Or you can set the default policy to “nothing”. Then you have to check the “Publish to Facebook” checkbox whenever you want a post to be published on Facebook.

The decision is yours. In the meantime, I will update the sourcecode, but every release requires some extensive testing (as always).

Edit: You can also modify the sourcecode. If this does not bother you, I will post you the changes that have to be made.
