[Plugin: Facebook] Plugin not posting on author timeline

  • Hi,
    On submitting a new post I added some text to publish on my fb timeline, I receive the error below. This is a testpost with the request to ignore but it’s not showing up on my tl

    Failed posting to your Facebook Timeline. Error: {“message”:”(#3502) Object at URL https://www.gerhardradstake.com/test-ignore-pls/ has og:type of ‘website’. The property ‘article’ requires an object of og:type ‘article’. “,”type”:”OAuthException”}

    I followed all the steps in the installation.

    Anyone have an idea how to solve this?

    The link you provided of “https://www.gerhardradstake.com/test-ignore-pls/” is not valid. It just redirects to https://www.gercom.nl/, as do all the other posts on https://www.gerhardradstake.com/. If your site is doing weird things, then sometimes you’re going to get weird results.

    Can you post a link that is working properly so we can see it?

    Hi otto,
    thanks for your response, I am currently moving my personal blog to another server. This also contains my company website which is gercom.nl
    I know this happens and according to my provider there was an error in dns. this has been corrected by the provider and I am now waiting for a dns update to recheck. It should be fixed by the end of today.

    Hi Otto,

    I decided to move back to my first provider to host gerhardradstake.com. The link is now working as it should.

    Recorded some additional information on errors while posting to facebook.

    Failed posting to mentioned page’s Facebook Timeline. Error: {“message”:”(#1) An error occured while creating the share”,”type”:”OAuthException”}

    Posting to my Timeline

    Another error is in the like box on the right bottom.
    Here the error is
    Can’t download: Could not retrieve data from URL.
