[Plugin: Facebook] Publish to fan page setting Disabled

Some people are saying they still have problems with it but so far so good for me.

the worst thing about this plugin, for me anyway, was the lack of information about the plugins relationship with the app. I know nothing of “apps” for weeks I thought the app was only for the fb plugin, and I was lost in a sea of crazy settings that had nothing to do with the plugin.

Tried the new version of 1.0.3 and still no luck. I only have the disabled option for posting to a page. I look into the whole app thing and facebook states that only if the app supports pages. What I don’t get is if the plugin doesn’t really use the facebook app for anything, then why is it needed? What do I need to do to even have the enabled option come up for this.

Not on my page-(timeline)
NOT on my fanpage-(timeline)

Goimg back to the old one. I don’t see the “Exetiom error no more (it still there but I ignore that)

Just adding my name to the list so I can follow this thread. It worked for a little while then, while my Facebook settings were up, I saw something about a token that expired and that I’d have to reselect my fan page.

I wound up using simple facebook connect which is not giving me this error at all. I needed a solution now, and looking at the facebook stock, it appears that they have other worries on their plate right now.

install WP Facebook Open Graph protocol
Activate and inter your details ,save
Then facebook works good.

Well I got the lastest version. Install it and post a news item to facebook. Result NOTHING THERE. Not on the fan page and NOT on the newspaper page NOT on both Time-Lines. I’m goinng to look a other plugin. this one cost me to many time. Going to check it when it is good.
Today: it is now 22:00 and still working. Normally I am ready round 17:00.

Hey I’m using the latest Version 1.0.3 of the plugin and I managed it somehow that the publish to fanpage option works, but I still can’t publish my posts and pages, because the option

publish for post
publish for page

won’t save the setting after selecting them. After saving these settings the checkboxes are empty again, but it says that the settings have been saved…

Any suggestions?

I tried to reinstall with the new update, but it still goes back to Diabled when I log off my Facebook account. Crossing my fingers your will fix this soon! ?? Thank you

I don’t know what happens but yesterday every thing was oke. Late in the evening all apss in Facebook are goin. Making a new apps is not helping. After 9 apps (New) the plugin stay’s on “disabeld”
What to do???????? and how to get it enabled????????

Oke the message from yesterday is now solved.
Only this message still is on:
{“message”:”Could not retrieve data from URL.”,”type”:”Exception”}

Is this message insite one of the scripts or a faile in the Apps on Facebook???

It would be nice if one of the makers will give a comment.

I just updated the plugin from github based on the remarks. It allows me to publish to a page by toggleling the page but underneath that there are not options: Publish for post, page, location, event, gpages

If I toggle any of those options and save, then open the settings again there are not saved, thus not publishing my test post.

I got mine till the above message now oke. Putting on “Mentions”and will post to my page and fanpage. NOT to the timeline of the fanpage.
So far I have to work to know half is oke.

I made it..! After struggeling here for some days and was not able to publish to timeline on my fanpage.(checkbox was always disabled; even with version 1.0.3).

1) I removed the facebook-plugin
2) I erased the old FB-APP
3) created a new app (with new namespace)
4) downloaded facebook-plugin 1.0.3 (actual adress see above)
5) installed the plugin

It direct sees the name of my fanpage. Publishing works now fine.
