[Plugin: Facebook] "Social Reading" only posts 1 article

  • I have activated the “Recommendations Bar,” which allows site users to activate a Social Reading feature. It works great, but only posts the article the user is reading when they activate Social Reading. My understanding was that a notification would be published each time they read an article on the site – is that not the case?

    Nevermind – this issue seems to have resolved on its own!

    I was also having issues with the post preview on Facebook displaying the general meta description for my website rather than an excerpt of the post itself. I added <meta property=”og:type” content=”article”/> in with my other meta information to resolve that issue, and it seems to have fixed my Social Reading issue as well!

    It should have added the <meta property=”https://ogp.me/ns#type&#8221; content=”article” /> auto, it did for me.
