maybe the error should link to this page instead?
    https://www.facebook.com/about/subscribe

there’s a big buttom that says “enable subscriptions” I clicked it and the error I was getting below my posts is gone.

No idea how I ended up there, not sure if subscriptions are to my personal fb account or my organization fb account which is using the plugin.. I think. Or is my personal fb page using it too? or is there no difference? I’m really confused about how the 2 are integrated.

after spending many hours in trial and error, it appears the subscription can’t be for a fb “page” or at least not a “local business” page. It only worked for my personal fb account.

Looks like you were having a conversation by yourself there, but it you see this, Thanks! The info you provided may be of value to me… not sure yet but I’m heading off that way! ??

It’s a difficult plugin. I set it up for some clients but I get the wrong apps showing up in their settings. The documentation never mentions how a developer might use it for client sites.

Any luck with this issue? I’ve just hit the same wall with this page: https://www.birminghamhotel.com.au

If you mean the subscription issue, I haven’t revisited.

If you mean setting it up for someone else’s fb account,
you have to be logged in to that fb account when you create and configure the app. I’ve done it a few timss now.

Hey deepbevel the link you posted is what did it for me. One click and done. Thank you very much.
