    First of all, thank you for this excellent plugin. I’ve got lots lots lots of categories on my site and I’ve tried and uninstalled about half a dozen search-related plugins before I discovered Faceted Search. Thank you!!

    My question is, please could you explain once again how to make main categories uncheckable? I don’t really know PHP, so some kind of cut and paste code would be nice *blush*

    I also posted a question on how to exclude categories in the thread crated by mark7694.

    Oh and I just thought, maybe there’s also a way to display post count for each category?..

    1000Li, you have same problems as me. So we must waiting for author of this great plugin.

    – Uncheckable Main Categories
    – Exclude Categories

    TuLLs, eventually I switched to Drupal and now I can easily enable all the fuctionality I needed. I am a big fan of WordPress because it’s so light and simple, but for a large project that involves faceted search, a lot of categories and complicated lists, Drupal is better.

    In version 3.3, which has just been committed and should be available shortly, you can specify which categories or tags you want to make uncheckable.
