Plugin fails without very specific formatting

  • I’ve been trying to optimize my WordPress sites, and I’m running into a problem I’ve encountered before with thydzik Google Map. The “thydzikgooglemap” command needs to appear on its own line, separated from everything else. If it’s embedded within other text, it fails to draw the map.

    I’m currently encountering this because I’ve told W3 Total Cache to minify my HTML. I’ve even told it to leave in the thydzikgooglemap comment strings, in case thydzik Google Map needs them to function, but that doesn’t do it. If they don’t have their own lines in the output HTML code, they fail.

    Can this be addressed? Currently, I have to tell W3 Total Cache not to minify any pages that contain maps. It’s a usable workaround, but it makes my site less efficient.
