[Plugin: Fast and Secure Contact Form] Reuse “SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam”

  • Mike, just a suggestion: instead of including integrated CAPTCHA code (folder ‘si-contact-form\captcha-secureimage’ containing 233 files and taking 2.5 MB on disk), why not reuse your own “SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam” plugin? This would 1) allow uniform styling of CAPTCHA throught the blog, 2) save 2.5 MB of disk storage, 3) allow you as the plugin author maintain just one version of CAPTCHA.

  • Thanks for the suggestion. Sounds simple but it is not.
    Some of the \captcha-secureimage\ files are different.
    Besides it would be annoying to have to install two plugins to get the functionality of one.
    And many users who use Fast and Secure Contact Form do not use SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam.
    Imagine thousands of currently installed contact form users finding out a new version requires them to install SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam.
    Not going to do it.
