• I installed this plugin on my own site and it works fine. I installed it on somebody else’s website and can’t get it to work using any of the three mail delivery methods.

Using the default WordPress I simply get:

The e-mail could not be sent.

    Using PHP option I get:

The e-mail could not be sent.
PHP Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [email protected] in D:\Inetpub\Didya\ZZZZZZ.com\wp-content\plugins\si-contact-form\si-contact-form-process.php on line 553

    Using Geekmail option I get

The e-mail could not be sent.
PHP Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [email protected] in D:\Inetpub\Didya\ZZZZZZ\wp-content\plugins\si-contact-form\ctf_geekMail-1.0.php on line 1366

Any ideas of what I should be trying or looking for here?

Note: This is not a server in my control so I have no FTP access but I do have Admin privileges in WordPress.

  • This setting on the contact form options page might help you…. Some web hosts do not allow PHP to send E-mail unless the “From:” E-mail address is on the same web domain as your web site. And they require it to be a real address on that domain, or mail will NOT SEND! (They do this to help prevent spam.) If your contact form does not send any E-mail, then set this to a real E-mail address on the SAME domain as your web site as a possible fix. After setting the from address; if your form still does not send any E-mail, also find this setting: “Send E-mail function:”, try setting it to “geekMail” or “PHP”, then test from the contact form again. In some cases, this will resolve the problem.
