• I don’t know what the deal is, but in the extra fields, when I add a Password field and give it the password field type, it doesn’t show in the resulting form, as I would expect the “hidden” field type to behave. If I assign it as a text field, it shows up just fine, but whenever its set to a password field type, it disappears.

    Thanks.

  • Your theme CSS is probably the cause

It could be the theme you are using is causing it…
    Do this as a test:
In Admin, click on Appearance, Themes.
Temporarily change your theme to the “WordPress Default” theme, or “Twenty Ten” (default for WP 3.0).
It does not cause any harm to temporarily change the theme and change back.
    Does it work properly now?
If it does then the theme you are using is the cause.

I can help with a URL to your page with the problem

I just tried that, no luck. Its the same with the twenty ten theme. The title and field simply do not appear, as if I’d left it blank. I’m happy to contact you directly with a URL, but don’t want links to this page posted, as this particular page needs to be semi-private.

Okay. Thanks. I just sent you a message.

I found the problem. The new version should be available for download tonight.

    = 2.9.5.2 =
    – (30 Nov 2010) – Fix – last update included an old file causing the
new ‘hidden’ and ‘password’ fields not to show up on form.
