I’ve got 4 hours time lag between sending and receiving. Received E-mail includes some sender’s information such as IP, Referer and Date/Time at the bottom. Date/Time is 4 hours faster than actual receiving time. I’m in the US but hosting server is in Japan. Time in WORDPREES is set “NEW YORK” and it’s pretty accurate. Could you tell me how to fix the problem?

  • You need to set the WP time zone by City name instead of UTC manual offset.

    Mike,

I have already set time zone by city, NEW YORK. I tried to change the city to DETROIT which is the same zone as NEW YORK. But I couldn’t get it. Any other suggestion let me know please. I really would like to use this plug in. Thanks,

Maybe the web server clock is off. Perhaps you should have it checked.

I’m gonna check it. Thanks Mike!

    Mike,
I inquired to my hosting server then I got following guidance.

WordPress use “UTC” timezone as default in “wp-settings.php” from version 2.9. So they want me to edit line#32 from “date_default_timezone_set( ‘UTC’ );” to “date_default_timezone_set( ‘America/New_York’ );” in the “wp-settings.php”.

    Finally, plug-in works properly. Thanks,
