• So I got 2.9, but now where did the options to re-label the default fields go? I relabel several of them on different sites, depending on need. Now I’m afraid to update my other sites to the latest version, because I don’t want to loose my custom labels.

Is this a real concern? Or is it still there, and I’m just missing it?

Otherwise the new admin looks great! I’d still like a check-box that allows you to leave advanced options expanded (very helpful when you’re tweaking it to look just right), though.

  • Are you not finding “advanced options” on the settings page because the tags to re-label the default fields are inside advanced options.

This is what I’m seeing: https://awesomescreenshot.com/0b8n9h1e

Forgive me if I’m blind, but I’m just not seeing it on there. Everything else seems to be in similar position (with the nice new formatting), but I don’t see that.

Works on my servers with FireFox and IE8. What web browser do you have? try another browser.
    let me know.

If it is still not working, try replacing si-contact-form-admin.php from a fresh download.

Thanks for your quick responses Mike. I just tried in IE8 and it looks fine.

I use Chrome (currently 6.0.xxx beta), and there’s been no problems with your plugin (or almost anything) in the past, but for some reason its reformatting that last part of the admin, and completely leaving out that one section. I can just use IE to get it setup the way I want for now. If you’d like some help testing with Chrome, let me know, I’d be happy to help.

BTW: I think a great feature (as I mentioned before) would be to have a checkbox that makes the advanced options stay open. This saves a click (so you just have to scroll) when you’re just editing CSS, etc.

Ok, i will add a check box in a future update.
I have a couple days off, but then I will check the admin page for html validation errors and fix them. I will try it Chrome when i get time.

Thanks a ton Mike! Awesome plugin. Its so helpful and just the right balance between simplicity and flexibility.

Guys – I just realized this post is related to one I submitted a few hours ago. I’m using Safari, which often behaves the same as Chrome, so that explains some of it.

Fiddler, try this: Locate the “Enable aria-required tags…” option towards the bottom of the admin panel, and click on the “help” link. (It’s the line just above the “Send a Test Email” option.) This should reveal the help text AND all of the hidden options you’ve been looking for. (After going crazy looking for the CAPTCHA code field label, I stumbled on this while going down the page clicking anything I could, hoping something would appear. I was just about to call it quits too.)

    Here’s my post:

Should be fixed in 2.9.1, let me know, thanks

Thanks guys. I worked fine in IE, but now with the latest update, everything looks great in Chrome too. Thanks for the awesome plugin Mike.

Thanks very much for the tip to “Enable aria-required tags…”.

I was having trouble figuring out how to rename the field labels and I never would have thought to try this. Works like a charm.

BTW Mike, thank you for this fantastic form. I’ll be sending a donation soon.
