  • Does the imported post itself contain the full text? Or just the excerpt?

If the full post has been imported, you can control whether your site shows the excerpt or the full content by editing your template files (obviously making sure you are working on a child theme). See https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/the_content and https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/the_excerpt

The problem I’m having is that Feedwordpress is only pulling the excerpt over, so the post itself is truncated. I too have looked for any option that might relate to this but have found none.
    Any help much appreciated!

    Same here somebody please help!

same here.. any kind living person?

More than likely, the functionality is not an issue with FWP, but the content source. As FWD pulls RSS feeds, it will only pull what is in the feed. Many sites only publish a summary to their RSS feeds to encourage people to visit the origination site rather than aggregators.

Run a standard wordpress site’s rss feed through FWP. If it pulls the entire story, then it is the site in question that is limiting what is being published, not FWP.

There is no way around this. FWP is not a scraping engine.

    Lordy, I think you’re right!

    Under: Settings > Reading
    There’s this choice:

‘For each article in a feed, show’
    -Full text or
    -Summary

    Mine was set to ‘Summary’
    Thanks so much danetidwell!

Any solution? I also want grab full content and post into my blog.

shadabdurrani, do you have control over the site where you’re pulling the content from?

No Smoo I do not have control over that site.
