[Plugin: Filosofo Home-Page Control] A very important plugin

I don’t think people realize just how important your plugin is and how detrimental it is that people consider using your plugin for their blog ASAP, especially for the people that need something like this for their WPMU or Buddy press themes.

Let me explain what I was able to do.

Using:

WPMU 2.7.1
BBPRESS 1.0
BPPRESS 1.0.2
and your plugin

I was able to use a theme that had both “home” and “blog” at the top of their navigational menu to go to separate pages as the plugin intended.

Originally, the home button always went to the blog page. It was because my site was set up with the blog page trailing directly to the root / .

So, I instead wanted the home button to lead to a separate new page. While I wanted the blog button in the menu to lead to the blog posts page. This was not an easy task at first, and I truly needed your plugin to complete this task.

In the reading settings, I just had it to where it was reading the posts as normal, but I could have it static to a new page if I wanted, without any problems.

I had to remove the home.php from my template, only because of the theme that I was using was causing conflicts with my index.php file in my theme directory.

I then had to go into your plugin settings in the admin dashboard,
and changed home page to the new page that I created and had the blog directory setting set to blog.

Everything worked like a charm.

Which now HOME is leading to a new page,
and BLOG button in the theme is leading to the actual blogs.

Very well done plugin.

This is like the Holy Grail of plugins!
