We use WordFence and this plugin is now being flagged as abandoned:
The Plugin “Everfund Donation Widget” appears to be abandoned (updated 25th May 2022, tested to WP 5.9.0).
I had this problem years ago and started StackOverflow thread, which shows how you can bump the supported wordpress versions without having to release a new version of the plugin:
