[Plugin: Flexslider] IE Issue

If I do not specify a width and height on the settings panel in WordPress, the plugin scales perfectly in all browsers except IE, in which the image does not show at all.

If I specify an image height and width on the settings panel, the image does show up in IE, but it becomes distorted and squashes when I resize any browser window.

I’ve tried putting Flexslider into a containing div and specifying relative height and width but this doesn’t seem to have an effect.
