[Plugin: Fluency Admin] WP3.0
-
Ready for 3.0 yet?
-
Almost, I finished testing against a default WP3.0 install last night, just need to test its compatibility with a few other plugins and tidy things up, should hopefully have a release by the end of the weekend or early next week at the latest.
Hi,
I am not sure if I am the only one who have problem with the fluency admin+menu? For me, it doesn’t seemed to work nicely when i go to the menu page.
Thanks. ??
Can you provide any more info about what appears to be wrong, screenshot or two might be helpful.
I just upgraded Fluency Admin for my WP 3.0 and it looks like this: https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/wildx22/fleuncy.jpg (lol excuse the spelling error)
I could stand Fluency 2.2 (which looked fine for the most part), but that looks plain screwed. I didn’t tweak any settings. ??
For some reason it’s fixed now (I think it was just my cache) but the Menus page still doesn’t work and I wonder if you could bring back the multi-column settings hover menu when there are too many plugin settings pages. ??
Ok, I’ve worked out whats causing the problems on the Menus page (it only happens when the fixed position menu is disabled).
I didn’t change (or at least I didn’t think I did) the code for the multi-columns on the hover menus, so I’ll have to have a look and see what the cause is.
Will try and get both fixed in a quick update.
Hi,
Hope I am not too late to show the screenshot,

Thanks. ??
Thanks Shyuan, looks like its the same issue a few other people have spotted, I should have a fix out in the next day or so.
Hi,
i have upgrade to WP3.0 today on 3 client sites. Now i have Porblems with the fluency-admin plugin. When i click the hide menü button – the menü will hide but the button is clear. The menü cannot be open again.
Thats in all of my site’s i use fluency admin on WP3 system.
Peter144, can you confirm which version of Fluency you currently have active, I’m assuming its 2.3.1 ?
Do you have any other active plugins that interact with the admin menus in any way?
Do you know if your browser is reporting any javascript errors (these could be possibly caused by any active plugin, and have the potential to ‘break’ the menus)
Can you provide a screenshot of the problem so I’ve got something extra to work from while trying to replicate the problem.
cheers,
DeanHi Dean,
I have just upgraded to the latest version of Fluency Admin, thanks for the hardwork! ??
The upper part of the menu page is fine now (Firefox). Hmm, but it seems there’s still a problem with the bottom part of the “menu” page (regardless of disabling/enabling the “Hover Menus” in settings):
Firefox:

ShyuanHey Dean,
I love your plugin…been using it for awhile now for all of my WP sites! Like many of your product followers, I too upgraded your plugin (WP 3.0) and just like Peter when I click on the “Hide” button everything does what it suppose to do, except the “Unhide” button is now missing or not visible within the left navigation bar. It’s kinda frustrating as I have multiple admins per site and some have smaller screen (laptops) thus the use of the “Hide” button is necessary. For now we have decided to hold off on your upgrade for the rest our sites until this is resolved. Don’t get me wrong, I think your plugin is one of the BEST that is out there! ??
@shyuan Looks like all the problems with the “Menus” page are due to a lot of bad code that are being used to generate the page.
The overlapping footer only occurs when the active WordPress theme does not ‘natively’ support the custom menus, and the resulting message that is displayed (as seen in your screenshot) is what is causing everything to fail. (The <div> containing the message is being rendered by WordPress above the <html> tag and this is clearly wrong). I’ll file this as a bug in the WordPress issue tracker.
Hi Dean,
Thanks for your clarification for the issue I had faced. Hmm, the issue doesn’t affect me much, just to make it being noticeable. ?? You are replying quick for your plugin, I feel so glad to see your replies. Btw, are you going to make more admin themes in near future? Coz it’s nice. ??
Same problem here with the missing unhide button…
Your plugin is awesome otherwise! You’re my hero (as I was about to quit when WordPress 2.5 came out with their ugly menu).
