• Not sure why the other “Help with using” topic was closed, but I just got around to checking on some of the comments.

kseman & rjblog – The problem you see is typically caused when your theme doesn’t include jquery. The plugin should install that dependency, but if you don’t call wp_head() in your header then the dependent javascript files may not be imported.

kevinj003 – Regarding the error your getting, I don’t know what causes that. I did some searches and didn’t find anything. As for the layout of your page, the two browsers I tried (Chrome & Safari) are laying out the “cells” with the video thumbnail with a height of 394px, but that’s not in the source of your page or in the stylesheets. I’ll keep looking into it, but I’ve never seen anything like that before.

  • Hi Russell,

Have you had a chance to have a look at the table layout problem I’m having?

    Many thanks,

    Kevin –
I just posted version 1.4 that should fix your layout issues. Please try it and let me know!

    Hi Russell,

I just installed ver 1.4, and there was definitely changes, but not what we were expecting. See https://www.amphibianark.org/index.php/education/videos/

In the first section, Messages from our Patrons, I placed the first 5 videos in one row of a table, and the last patron video in the next row. For the remaining sections, I’ve left all videos in each section in one row, hoping that the flv player would wrap them correctly, but it doesn’t seem to be doing this.

Please email me at [email protected] if you need the actual html code I’ve used.

btw. I modified flvgallery.php to include div align=left and <h4> for the title text, to match the rest of my site.

    Thanks for your help,

    Kevin

    Medric –
Your local videos are working for me, but when I try the one labeled RTMP I see an error ‘Video not found or access denied: rtmp://74.95.158.154/READY_STEADY.flv’.

Are you sure of that RTMP link? If so, can you get that video to play from a standalone player somewhere?

    Hey Russell,
I turned on php errors to check an unrelated issue and this error came up:

“Notice: Undefined variable: id in /services2/webpages/s/h/shamadonresort.com/public/redesign2010/wp-content/plugins/flv-gallery/flvgallery.php on line 190”

It doesn’t seem to affect how FLV Gallery works, but just thought I’d bring it up. Let me know if you need any other info.

    Paul

    Hi Russel,

    Hey Guys,

I just switched themes and now my FLV-Gallery does not load video, but instead tries to go to a link. When I switch to my original theme, everything works just fine. I am by no means a web guy….but man can I follow instructions ha

In some earlier posts Russel, you mentioned that it might be a jquery issue, where my current theme does not have jquery.

Any and all help would be much appreciated…thanks.

Here is my video gallery page that is using flv gallery: https://myfenix.com/video-gallery/

Still cant figure this out. Anybody have any suggestions at all?
