I am new to blogs and WordPress and FTP. I have WP installed and am trying to install my first plug in. It is the AccessQontrol plugin. The installation instructions say: “Unzip the file and upload it to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder.” I am using FileZilla and cannot see a plugins folder. Can anyone tell me where I would look to find that folder? Thank you for the help.

  • find your wp-config.php

Inside the same directory that *that* is in, will be a directory named wp-content/

    inside wp-content/ will be plugins/

here is a video tutorial that may help:

I could not find my wp-config.php. But I did find the wp-content folder. I found it in the public_html folder. Then in that content folder was the plugin folder just as you said it would be. I dragged the plugin file to it and it seems to be in there. Thank you so much for the help and for the great video. I watched both Part 1 and Part 2. One last question I have, could it be a problem that I am not seeing a wp-config.php? Thanks again for the help.
