• Can someon help me with this.
I want readers to access 10-20.000 images on a site. Was thinking to upload them to Flickr or Google.
I want the readers to be able to search for keywords or words in description. And so the be able to see the result on the wordpress site.

Or maybe someone else have a better idea how to manage this issue with so many images.

  • Hello, @roganett,

I think that with a huge number of images, it will get a timeout error in your site. So, I propose you to use this plugin: https://br.www.ads-software.com/plugins/search-by-algolia-instant-relevant-results/ – you will have the free version and pay versions to choose.

    Sincerely,
    John T.

    Thanks John..

I was thinking that it might be possible to intigrate flickr or google (picasa, or photo) so that there was a gallery in one page and able to search in a spesific album on one of that service=?

    Hi roganett,

There are quite a few plugins that allow you to integrate Flickr/Google or other image services.

A few notable ones I would recommend are the plugins ‘WP Google Images Seach and Insert’ and ‘WP Inject’.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Dylan

Thanks Dylan. Maybe I explain my self a bit difficult ??
The “problem” is. I have 16.000 images that I want to have on a wordpress site. But put them directly into the wordpress innstallation may cause problems. So I was thinking to upload them to example Flickr. And then have that spesific flickr or picasa album integrated in the wordpresssite so viewers can be able to search and view within those 16.000 images from the wordpress site.
