Plugin for lists of PDF Newsletters?

I’ve searched high and low and thought there would be plugin like this but have yet come up with anything. I am looking for this for a church website (and have seen lots of others looking for this) but I have also seen businesses looking for this.

I need a plugin that has the function to upload weekly PDF newsletters/church bulletins etc, and have a page that automatically lists by name and date, links to them. A sidebar widget would be a plus.

It seems to do this you would need:
1) Upload media but assign it a category (say newsletter)
2) Have a a page/widget that can list only those PDF files with that category.

Is there anything out there like this at all?
