Plugin for Post Index for 4.1.1

Hi, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I am looking for a plugin that will let me index posts (compatible with 4.1.1). My site is still in the development stage. I want to create an page index, similar to what you would see for a recipe index, just not with recipes.

I have tried the Visual Recipe Index plugin, but it only seems to work when you already have posts written…? Please correct me if I am mistaken.

My blog is about dogs and can be found at https://www.psyourdogcalled.com. Every week I want to feature a dog, and want those posts to be indexed on a page on my navigation bar. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
