That’s where I posted the Formidable page.

    Thanks!

I think I’ve narrowed down why it doesn’t work, but I need your help to solve the mystery.

First, I tried every solution suggested in this forum, and none of them works.

That said, it did work on “Preview Mode” — that’s right — if I don’t publish the page but use “preview” mode instead in WordPress, it works. But if I publish the page, it stops working.

The strange this is that even if I type in in the Captcha incorrectly or leave a required field blank, it doesn’t give me an error. There’s no feedback.

Also it doesn’t tell me whether my mail was sent or redirect me to a new page after hitting “submit”, even if I enter everything correctly. There’s no message when the page reloads, no matter what I do.

Try entering nothing, then click “submit”, and you’ll see what I mean.

Does this give you any idea of why it isn’t working? It’s probably something simple that I’m doing wrong.

    Thanks!

Okay, I figured it out on my own!

If anyone else has trouble, here’s the solution.

When I set up my permalinks originally, I didn’t give the proper permissions for WordPress to update my .htaccess file — I had to set the permissions to 777 and then save my Permalinks to get it to work right. Now that it’s set, I’ll set the permissions back to a more secure setting.

That was the problem! I’m a novice, so I didn’t realize it, but when I went to look at the permalinks, due to your suggestion, I figured it out.

    Thanks for your help.

    Naomi,

I am having the exact same issue, but I am not sure how to access my .htaccess file. Where would I go to change this?

    Matt

    Matt,
.htaccess file is in the root directory of your website. Usually something like public_html or something like that. Sometimes ftp programs will hide this type of file so make sure you change your settings to show all hidden files on you ftp program.
