• After activating on a multisite installation I couldn’t get the map to show in the admin area. Just a blank gray square. Noticed you had different javascript for use with geotag, so I substituted wp-geo for geotag where it occurred in the code and tried it. Using the version of the javascript for geotag gave me the map in the admin area and let me set the zoom and center. (So did deactivating WP-Geo).

I have another problem on the front end: the rectangle draws about 30px below where I have the cursor. I haven’t nailed down what is causing it, since disabling WP-Geo didn’t affect it. I do have it working on a single site, without WP-Geo, and the rectangle draws where the cursor is. Still working on it.

  • 1/ The problem with the grey map is due to the inclusion of GoogleMap V2 for wp-geo and V3 for my plugin.
The problem was raised for geotag, but I did not see any problem with wp-geo 3.2 (single site) … I’ll test it again

I just tried to test wp-geo (3.2) in a multi-site environment but an error occurred when attempting to enable the plugin.

I’ll dig into it and see if wp-geo supports multisite

2/ The offset you get when drawing a rectangle is due to the admin bar (that came with wp 3.1)

I have not rushed into correcting it as the non-logged users don’t see this problem.

The code involved is ‘Key Drag Zoom for V3’ embedded in loc_filter.js

I did not have a chance to seriously look for the solution yet

Ah, thank you. I had forgotten about the cursed 28 pixels of the admin bar. I have it disabled in my profile on my single site, but I’m using a plugin to enable it only for admins on my multisite, so that explains the discrepancy. BTW, I’ve been using WP-Geo 3.2.3 on multisite 3.01 and now 3.1 without any issue that I’ve noticed.

Hey, on another topic, not to rip you off or anything, but I’m curious how you accomplished your “Same Region” sidebar on your site. I’m doing something where location is important, and I love the shaded circle around your post location on the map, and the list of geographically related posts. Care to share? ??
