[Plugin: GD Star Rating] Ranking not showing results

It’s working on older WP, but not on WP3.0. I tried runing plugin on two WP3.0 blogs, and i just cant get the widget’s working. Not even in GD star rating options under articles are no selectable articles… while on older version of WP2.9.2 the widget works, so there are articles under the options menu.

Why is then plugin WP3.0 compatible, if it’s not!

EDIT: I guesss it’s working on WP3.0 if you dont have like… 600+ posts already in database… wtf?!

There are few issues with WP 3.0, but they are minor and plugin works fine. I run all my websites on WP 3.0 now, and all of them use GDSR some even depend. New version will fix few more issues, but nothing of that is a major problem.

What would cause the plugin to not work on a WP that has may posts? Or am I missing anything else?

I runned a test. I made new WP3.0 install in mysql base, deleted all old data. I first installed GD star rating plugin and then imported all previous wordpress data through Tools > import. On test blog the plugin works with no problem… must try it in real action :\

One of my clients websites uses GDSR with WP 3.0 and site has over 20.000 posts right now. No issues.

I researched why doesnt it work…. other plugin is blocking it. When i have activated WP2BB, your GD Star Rating wont work.

Can you check it out? I really need wp2bb plugin for comments on phpbb forum :\

I don’t use that plugin. And I said many times before, if some plugin is causing problems, than author of that plugin should fix them. Whenever my plugin(s) caused problems to other plugins I fixed them, other authors should do the same.

Yea, but that plugin works, and yours dont ?? Why would than the author care, if it’s not he’s problem ^^’

I have the same problem. The latest versions don’t work on WordPress 3.0. Whether this is a plugin conflict I cannot say. I just know that it worked previously and now it does not. Rolling back to a previous version has improved its functioning.

I cant roll back wordpress version, cuz twenty-two theme doesnt work there.

New GDSR to be released on Tuesday will fix few more issues, but none of the issues is critical to plugins work right now. I use it on tons of websites, all under WP 3.0 all with different and many plugins I have few problems only but nothing critical.

And as I said in FAQ for the plugin, I can’t check plugin with all plugins available, many plugins can break other plugins due to use of JavaScript or the filters and actions in WP specific code.

Well, I very much understand you cant check it’s working with all other plugins… but, if there are plugins that breaks yours, wouldnt an info of critical ones be enough to check, where is the problem? Maybe the same patern will show up on other unfamiliar plugins that could break it.

I’ll see in tuesday, if any fixes would include solving my problem… otherwise I’ll bump this topic again =)

Plugin after new fix still doesnt work.

Right now GD Star Rating is fully compatible with WP 3.0 and all new features add with WP 3.0.

As for WP2BB, this is old, outdated and no longer maintained plugin that is not compatible with new WordPress (or any WP for the last two years). So many things in WP are changed over the last two years, and WP2BB ignores all of them most likely. I remembered that I talked to a friend few months ago who was stuck with WordPress 2.6 because of this plugin, and when he tries to upgrade to WP 2.8 or 2.9 at the time, so many things break due to this WP2BB plugin.

Well, WP2BB works for me, on WP3.0 and 60 other active plugins. Yours is the first one that break down. It’s true, that it’s outdated, but there is no other alternative… and it is “must have” plugin :\
