Plugin generating incorrect markup when called via [gallery] shortcode

When creating a gallery within a post, if the selected gallery images are from a variety of different posts, the rel=”shadowbox[sbalbum-X];” attribute prevents all of the images from displaying in sequential order. This is because the original post or attachment ID is used instead of the post ID for the current post.
Hopefully the developers will release an update?
