Plugin genereating GB's of data in wp_options table

@rtwlabs – Without a great deal more information and aside from the sheer size of the data I would say it is expected to see “HTML” in the wp_options table for NextGEN Gallery (as well as possibly many other plugins).

Does clearing the image cache under Galley > Other Options > Miscellaneous help to reduce the size of the table?

The data is being saved as transients in the database.

i was unable to test clearing the cache on the plugin as the host restricted access to the site due to the fault and we were forced to rollback the database to get the site live again.

I have however now cleared the cache as there were 15k entries into the table overnight. That seems to fix the problem but its hardly a solution if we are going to have to clear this every day. Surely this can be scheduled or run in some way automatically?

I ve the same problems in several website and never Nextgen do something !

I must to clear cache in options of polugin and after optimize the database is not very simple and clear no ???

Cache is cleared but it′s not better …

after deactivating NG all is working well …
