[Plugin: Genesis Single Post Navigation] doesn't work in safari

I just tested with a Safari 5.0.4 on a Windows desktop and all is working fine. I saw the arrows, all was working like it should ??

Which resolution or device you are running Safari on?

The plugin has a media query included which avoids display of the arrows for displays smaller than 1100px — otherwise it won’t make sense and doesn’t look nice (Genesis child themes are 960px default or bigger). Next update will include some refinement for the few child themes out there with 1140px wide – here the media query will be even wider then!

Thanks Dave for getting back to me. I am on a Macbook pro, Mac OS 10.5.8, with Safari 5.0.6. My display is 1440 x 900. No sign of the arrows.

In Firefox 12.0 on the same computer it works great.

Any other ideas?

I checked my traffic, and about 20% is mac os plus Safari, with the rest windows, Firefox, and/or mobile. So a significant chunk of traffic, but a minority would be impacted.

I don’t see it on my phone, and I assume it isn’t designed to work there. I think phone support would be really great for a future addition.

I am sorry, I have no Macbook to test such things. Can you look into the source code if the class gspn-area is there and also the IDs gspn-prevpost and gspn-nextpost?

I assume they are there but maybe Safari is blocking them somehow…?

Is there anything like Firebug or such for Safari on Macs so you inspect it?

With the phone that is correct, as I said before there’s a media query that avoids display on resolutions smaller than 1100px width.

I cannot adapt this to mobile as I don’t know if the used theme is responsive and if it were I don’t know the exact break points of the queries. So this is something a user can only apply with custom CSS to his/her own theme. This data is not accessable via plugin.
The other aspect is: we don’t have the space left and right for arrows on phones or other devices…

The only thing would be to switch above or below a single post but here’s conflicts with other WP functions and/or plugins which hook in.
