    I have the same request.

    I have tried this:

    mailto:?subject=<?php the_title(); ?>&body=Check out this article! <?php the_permalink() ?>

    , but it does not add the title or the link to the body.

    Please help with this.

    Most users just link to a contact page like: https://yourdomain.com/contact/ –> To assign the “Mail” icon just use email-prl-s24 for example…

    Providing e-mail links you can only use something like following syntax:
    mailto:?subject=Subject text&body=Test message
    That should work with most OS and mail software…

    PHP cannot be added directly to menu links that is beyond the purpose of the WP menu system. You can only use one of the options above: link to a WP page, or another custom link or use the simple mailto syntax.

    My plugin does nothing regarding the URLs itself it just provides CSS styling.
