• While using the Geolocation plugin via iOS, the location went missing in the link text that gets published into each post. I’ve verified all settings in the plugin and within the WordPress for iOS app, and everything seems to be set up correctly. While the map appears when I hover over the link, no location appears: link text simply says, “Posted from .”

Could this be related to the necessary custom fields not being called correctly? I noticed I could get the link text to show the location when I enable the “geo_address” custom field in the site’s full dashboard and manually added a value for it, but that’s hardly an ideal workflow for an iOS client. Anyone else having this issue?

Just tried again a moment ago, and it’s working fine now–location is showing up in the link text. Weird.

Same here! I use it in a Multisite Installation and there are a few links where the location is displayed in the link. All others are as LanceGrigsby mentioned: No lovation in the text link… ;(

Is there a fix for that?!

    Best!

Philipp, just looked into this again. Still having inconsistent results posting from WordPress for iOS (v. 3.) on iOS 5.1.1 using version 0.1.1 of the Geolocation plugin. FWIW, Location Services are on. No matter what I try via the mobile app–I even used the [geolocation] shortcode in my posts–I cannot get the location to show up in my posts UNLESS I either update those posts through my desktop computer or author an original post on my desktop (and of course, this defeats the purpose of the plugin :-)). Not sure where the bug may originate: The WordPress for iOS app, the Geolocation plugin, or what … Anyone?
