thanks.. hope to hear from you soon. i’ll post if i have any news too

    Well, I’m back.

I got a new entry/post and did a new geotag. And when that happened the map on my page disappeared.

    See:

    Back on square one. :/

Roddan.. have you thought of “multilangage”? ?? but i see no map..
we’ll wait. bobs is working on it ??

    @herrpedro:
Now I installed Worpdress once again, added the geotag v1.1 and the qTransplate plugin and then updated geotag to v2.0. But everything is worling perfectly fine as you can see here:

    https://bobsp.de/subdomains/wordpress/

I really have no clue what’s going wrong and I am afraid it would be impossible to find out just by having a look from “the outside” at your site or some additional debugging info. All I can recommend is to (1) disable all other plugins to see if geotag is working and reenable them one by one to see at which points it starts to screw up or (2) start over with a fresh installation of worpress and your plugins (which is a good thing to do from time to time in any case)…

hmm…just had an idea…will try one more thing…

I change the behaviour of the [gmap visible=””] property. Now it’s only possible to set it to false. I don’t know if this was really a big issue, but you can try to, if you want. Just download the Geotag plugin once again, replace the geotag.php file, deactivate and reactivate the plugin.

    @roddan:
Besides that, please check if maps are displayed at ‘pages’, not only posts (at the top of the options page).

    bobs:
did you add two [gmap].. on for each language of your site?

    Plugin Author Boris

    (@bobs1982)

    Yes, like this:

<!--:de-->Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging! (Deutsch)[gmap]<!--:-->
<!--:en-->Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging! (Englisch)[gmap]<!--:-->
<!--:zh-->Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging![gmap]<!--:-->
    Thread Starter herrpedro

    (@herrpedro)

    your posto looks like this:

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging! (Deutsch)

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging! (Englisch)

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!”

you should only get one of these lines ?? …. but… in this case… you have 3 GMAP and 3 maps -> good … yesterday i checked it and you only had 1.. i’ll dload the update and give some news
    thanks.

    (@herrpedro)

ok…. I disabled most of plugins and the map appeared ??
i’ll enable them 1 by 1 and guess who was not using “protection”

dunno if this is standard but….
    for version 2.1 ??
    – use _e(post-title) when building the marker link so my language plugin works ??
    – small excerpt and picture (using custom fields?) in marker dialog ??

    Thread Starter herrpedro

    (@herrpedro)

    and.. the unprotected is….
    Simple Facebook Connect

the “base” is ok.. but any others cause the map to disappear

    Plugin Author Boris

    (@bobs1982)

I’m afraid I didn’t get you right. So the geotag plugin is working with all your other plugins execpt ‘Simple Facebook Connect’? Or is the geotag plugin working with none of your plugins except ‘Simple Facebook Connect’?

The _e(post-title) is a good idea. To be honest I never thought that people might have their posts in different langauges :-). But it’s easy to implent: Just have a look at line 1570 and following. That’s where the post info is pushed into the $maps array for further processing. Everytime you see $val->post_title just change it into _e($val->post_title). I didn’t test it, but I think this should work.

Excerpt and picture might be something for a new version :-).

@roddan: Did you check that the maps are displayed at pages in the options menu? Any news?
