  • Serious bummer. I would totally pay for a premium version of this plugin too.

Hmm does this affect “Google Analytics for WordPress” ? https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/

I’m just getting started with these, but it seems like a very similar plugin, no?

Seems to be working just fine, still…

And it’s dead with the last update. It still reports data back to Google but the dashboard widget shows a flat line with no info.

Any suggestions on a viable replacement?

Yes.. same here. Yesterday the Analyticator Widgets still showing Visitors numbers but today it just shown “0”. Not working anymore! Hope alternative will appear soon!

I thought it was broken too, but then I followed the steps at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/cant-authenticate-google-analytics-from-analytics360-plugin-page?replies=19 and it’s working for me now.

We have just released a new version which works with the new Google API.

This should solve the issues that were happening.

Didn’t know there was an issue but happened to be in my admin panel just now and saw that Analyticator wanted to do an update, so I let it upgrade automatically to 6.3.1.

After that, went to Settings and saw “You need to sign in to Google and grant this plugin access to your Google Analytics account – Click HERE”. I clicked, a new Window popped up asking me to log in to Google. I logged in, clicked the blue Allow button, and received back (in the same popup window), “Please copy this code, switch to your application and paste it there:” and a long code. But when I refresh the Analyticator Settings page, just keeps telling me that I must grant it access and “Click HERE”. Where do I put the code that Google gave me?

BTW I’m using WordPress 2.9.2 and Firefox 15.0.1 under Windows 7.

I just updated to 6.3.1, and I get a blank white screen after clicking the Click HERE link, too. I uninstalled the plugin, reinstalled fresh, but it’s still broken. Can’t authenticate. It looks like 6.3.1 did not fix the issue.

@mcbsys – same here using FF on OSX
Switched to Chrome and it worked so there’s a little weirdness in browsers there somewhere

Thanks for the tip, Rastarr. I just successfully authenticated using Chrome on OS X too. In case it helps the devs, here’s the error message that fills the Dashboard widget window in Firefox (current version, OS X):

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Google_AuthException’ with message ‘Error fetching OAuth2 access token, message: ‘invalid_grant” in /home/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-api-php-client/src/auth/Google_OAuth2.php:113 Stack trace: #0 /home/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-api-php-client/src/Google_Client.php(131): Google_OAuth2->authenticate(Array, ‘…’) #1 /home/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/class.analytics.stats.php(68): Google_Client->authenticate(‘…’) #2 /home/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-analytics-summary-widget.php(188): GoogleAnalyticsStats->checkLogin() #3 /home/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-analytics-summary-widget.php(104): GoogleAnalyticsSummary->getAnalyticsAccount() #4 [internal function]: GoogleAnalyticsSummary->ajaxWidget(”) #5 /home/website/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(403): call_user_func_array in /home/website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-api-php-client/src/auth/Google_OAuth2.php on line 113

Fails under IE8 as well. After I log in to Google and Allow the plugin, and after I allow popups in IE8, it seems that it tries open a new tab, but then it tells me it cannot display the webpage. The URL shows “javascript:jQuery(‘”.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to bring these issues to our attention. We are working through these bugs as we become aware of them and will do our best to resolve these issues asap.

    Stay tuned.

    Cheers,
    Troy.

@mcbsys we have not tested this plugin on WP version 2.9.2 and I don’t think we will to be honest. I would suggest upgrading your WP to the latest version.

Thanks for the feedback regarding the errors and browsers @chad Bush and @rastarr, we are investigating.

    Cheers,
    Troy.

I’m on the latest version of WordPress and am also not getting the field to paste in the validation code that you show in your demo video.

    -John.
