[Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] doesn't work

I’ve been trying to get the Google Analytics for WordPress authenticated but it will not work. It kicks back with this Google Analytics is not active. You must select which Analytics Profile to track before it can work. For some reason, I do not have access to the html so I have to rely on the autmoatci autorizing. This aboslutely doesn’t work. How can I work around this or is there no way? if not then Iw ill have to remove this plugin because it’s totally useless.
