[Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] Filter for tracking outbound links in the sidebar?

    I’m currently using Ultimate Google Analytics plugin (which is also server-based) and plan to dump it to use this plugin, which clearly is technically superior.

    The only missing feature (?) I need to migrate over is that Ultimate Google Analytics is able to track outbound links in my sidebar widgets. All I need to do is to filter widget text by a filter from the plugin:

    add_filter( 'widget_text', 'uga_filter' );

    Does this plugins offer similar functionality? Is there a ready-made filter I can use for widget_text? What alternatives do I have?

    Cool, version 4.0.2 now supports this!

    I need help with this desperately. I’m running banner ads in my sidebar which are certainly not showing up in Analytics. I need the data to show to my customers at month end. Luciano, where do I put this code? Could you try to be as specific as possible for me? I could find no documentation on this anywhere in this latest version. Thank you.

    I’ve added to appropriate filter to my outbound links in my sidebar, but I’m confused on one thing. Do I have to change any of the setting for Google Analytics for WordPress in order for this to work? For instance, does “widget_text” need to be added to any field in the GA settings page?
