• Hi All,
I’m bit of a newbie with WordPress..apologizes if I seem ignorant. I’ve installed my google analytics plugin onto my wordpress site, which appears under my Plugins tab and settings tab in wordpress. I’ve set up a google account and pasted my web property ID into the wordpress google analytics plugin settings page. When I access my google analytics page, I see a warning symbol underneath the status heading..and i have no activity on my site, not sure what I’m doing wrong?
Any help would be much appreciated..
    thanks for reading,
    cs00102

  • I have the same problem. I don’t have <?php wp_footer(); ?> in my footer.php. I have no idea where I should write this code. Can anyone help?

hi magaworks that should be right before the </body> tag!

    Hi,
where are the tracked downloads? Are they in my domain or in Google Analytics account?
I do not find the Prefix for tracked downloads. I do not find any Prefix…
    Can anyone help me?,
    Thanks in advance,
    Giuseppe

    Hello,

Analytics is showing that reporting is on but I’m getting no data.. just 0 visitors. I checked my footer.php file and the above code is in there just fine.

The plugin is working on 8 of my other sites just fine. I don’t think my theme is causing the problem because I have the same theme on another site.

May I e-mail you the url of my site so you can take a look?

Thanks for the great plugin! I really mean that – I’ve used it for a long time now.

Like cs00102, I am also having a similar issue–a yellow warning sign and no activity nor statistics noted. I’ve not waited the requisite 24 hours, but I have checked footer.php to find <?php wp_footer(); ?> already there. I shall wait until tomorrow before commenting further on this matter. I did notice, though, that I am unable to select placement of this code in the header even though it is in the drop-down menu. It always defaults to the footer as noted. I find this curious.

As an update: this is now working for me. It seems it just takes several hours for the code to propagate. Thanks for reading!

seleniumgirl – how long did it take, i’ve got the waiting for data sign for 2 days….
