    Hello,

If you use a public feed URL, rather than a private one, only public events will be shown.

    Thanks for your reply Ross.

I’m already using the public feed url.

Most of my events are marked as “Standard”, but some of the events are marked as “Public”. I was wondering if it is possible to only display those which are marked as public?

    Thanks!

I meant that most of the events are marked as “Default”, not as “Standard” as I wrote above.

Oh, I see what you mean.

‘Default’ isn’t a separate event type in the same way as ‘Private’ or ‘Public’. It means that the event will inherit whatever privacy is the default for your calendar.

If your calendar is public, any events marked as ‘Default’ will be public. If your calendar is private, any events marked as ‘Default’ will be private.

So, there’s only really two privacy levels.

Any events marked as ‘Private’ in a public calendar won’t show up in the public feed, and therefore won’t be displayed by the plugin.

    Yeah,
I suspected that were only two privacy levels as well.

I was talking to a client though and he said that they had a system that was able to only get events marked as “Public” from a public calendar, and not those marked as “Default”. But I can’t see how this can be done though.

I reckon you have a good grasp on the google calendar feed Ross, so if you say that there is no way to separate events marked as “Public” from the ones marked as “Default” in a public calendar I know what to tell the client.

    Thanks again!
