  • This seems to be an issue with the Google viewer itself, not the plugin that embeds it (see previous thread). Hopefully there will be some updates from Google’s end to address this soon.

For what its worth, the link you provided above loads for me fine in IE. The problem is intermittent, which makes it all the more frustrating. ??

    Thanks k3davis.
After further investigation, we found that the issue only occurs with IE version 8. All other versions load fine.

I think you’ll find that if you change your cookie settings in IE8 to “allow all,” it works. Obviously this is not a good solution, but it does seem to indicate a compatibility problem with google’s viewer and IE8 in default configuration, which blocks a cookie the viewer now requires.

(If you get a chance to test this theory on your end, I’d be interested in the results.)

    You are absolutely right.
I checked Internet Options—>Privacy —>Advanced—>Override automatic cookie handling and now IE8 is displaying the embedded files.
It was not necessary to check Always allow session cookies

I was having this exact same issues as well. I adjusted settings as mentioned by majofa and it now works. Will this always have to be the case?

I certainly hope not. Sadly it’s not related to the plugin, but to the viewer itself. I haven’t had a chance yet to check if there is any facility within Google for reporting this issue.

Wow this stinks. Hopefully google fixes this.
