  • It looks like PPS support may have been removed on Google’s end. Can you try embedding the PPT (or any other PPT) and see if that works? Not a long term solution, I expect, but it would confirm if PPS is removed or just MS Office or PowerPoint viewing is broken as a whole at the moment.

Thanks, please let me know what you discover.

The PPT file loads. I’m uploading using the WP media library Add New function. Is it possible that WP is doing something screwy to the file? I notice the icon next to the PPT file has an image that looks like powerpoint screens. The icon next to the PPS file is just a box.

I tried using a PPS file direc from Google’s viewer (bypassing the plugin) and it also reported a problem with the file type. It appears PPS support was removed. ?? Sorry for this inconvenience. If it is added back in the future, the plugin will support it. In the meantime you will have to choose PPT or PPTX files for embedding PowerPoints.

Fileviewpro is the solution for that problems….

The note from “johnwalter” is unrelated spam comment, but for anyone else who lands here dealing with PPS issue, support for PPS files was restored in 2.4.4 and later versions of this plugin.
