[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] Dual Site Mapping – Does Google Allow This?

  • I have a site which has over 100 indexed pages and have recently stitched a blog on the back end. My major concern is that Google doesnt seem to be taking notice, so I am wondering if I have done something completely wrong and getting a black mark?

    The site has it’s own sitemap, but obviously the blog generates it’s own using the sitemap gen plugin – so my question is this;

    The sitemap for the general site points a link tothe blog – can the blog have it’s own sitemap and does Google frown upon this?

    Obviously we are uploading content every day, and also have RSS feed posting too – so to update the general sitemap daily would be an absolute nightmare.

    Would appreciate any thoughts on this.
