[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] SiteMap includes File objects, but no WP Posts

    The sitemap.xml builds fine, but it only includes my old Blogger files. None of my WP posts show up in the sitemap.

    Ideally, I only want WordPress information in the sitemap.xml.

    I’ve deleted the file and rebuilt. This plugin is scanning the file system even though I have nothing entered on the “Additional Pages” section. And none of my posts, tags or categories are in the sitemap.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

    your sitemap looks fine and contains a lot of posts, even from 2006. Maybe your browser has an old version of the file in the cache?

    The posts you are seeing are from BLOGGER and sit on the file system. I do NOT want them on the sitemap. Nothing was entered on the ADDITIONAL PAGES section.

    Also NONE of the 480+ WordPress posts are in the sitemap.

    Hmm, your sitemap.xml wasn’t generated by the sitemaps plugin (it’s missing the header with the wordpress and plugin version). Do you have any other applications or tools running which could generate such a sitemap?

    The sitemap.xml.gz file is fine, though.

    You found it. A year ago I wrote a custom XML handler for another site that got uploaded to this domain in error.
