[Plugin: Hana Flv Player] Embed FLV Video on Homepage top widget

I am trying to put a video (.FLV) on my homepage in the top widget space above the page title.

I input the code

in a simple text widget at the top and all it shows in the widget is the coding. No video. I’m also going to need to crop the video vertically. If there is a much better plugin for this sort of thing please let me know. I’ve tried about five different ones and have messed with this for far too long now.

If anyone knows what I’m doing wrong I’d really appreciate it.
