Justin Tadlock of Hybrid fame first told me of Headspace2. Since then, I have installed Justin’s Hybrid with a few different child themes.

Each time, I notice after some days suddenly my posts AND pages no longer are correctly formatted. There is no line-break after li’s, there is in fact no break after any paragraph at all, it is just a huge, (as we say in English) “run-on-paragraph” with no spacing at all, just all the words jumbled together.

I asked Justin about this – he also cannot see anything.

    But this is VERY consistent!

I even deactivated all plugins except Headspace2 and it still happens.

On one site, the formatting came back, I have no idea why. But, at least with Hybrid I am not trusting Headspace2 to reliably show posts and pages in the correct formatting.

Any idea as to what is going on? Help appreciated!

(You can ask Justin at either https://themehybrid.com or via https://justintadlock.com/ )

Thanks. I would love to use Headspace2, but formatting of original text is MANDATORY first, and obviously a weird problem.

  • HeadSpace has a module to disable automatic paragraph formatting. Check you have not enabled this by mistake

Ahhhh, I guess that is the “WordPress content formatting” under the Site Modules section ?!, yes, it seems to work fine now if I don’t have it activated (the wpautop I suppose). Thanks so much, I haven’t found much documentation on Headspace2.

    Hello xodigoguy,

Some of us really like to disable the WordPress content formatting.

WordPress content formatting is fine for basic weblog writing but wreaks havoc on forms and business sites with more sophisticated layout.

We actually created an alternate WordPress WYSIWYG editor which solves all these issues and lets you create and manage things like lists far better.
